There is no need to tell you why Thailand is one of the most sought after destinations in Southeast Asia. Thailand has one of the strongest most resilient tourism industries in Asia and is the premier destination for the majority of tourism in Southeast Asia. And we must say, Thailand is really deserving of the position that it has earned, thanks to its welcoming people, rich culture and mesmerizing landscapes, that are sufficient to plan one of the many Thailand Tours with your family and friends. And did we mention the beaches? So, if you are planning a trip to Thailand for the first time, there are likely several questions in your mind. That is why we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions by first time travelers to Thailand and have tried to get the best answers to them. Let us discuss them one by one.

1. Do I need a Visa or not?

You would be surprised to find that Thailand is quite lenient when it comes to Visa as it offers the nationals of 48 different countries to enter Thailand without a pre-arranged Visa. But this only holds good if your trip is of less than 30 days. If the days exceed that then you are in the need of a proper Visa from your home country. Some of these privileged nations include Belgium, Canada, Norway, Spain, USA, UK, Italy, Germany and several others.

2. What should I include in my luggage?

The answer to this question depends on the places that you are planning to visit along with the time of the year when you are planning the trip. Essentially, don’t forget to keep casual summer clothing, a couple of swimsuits, an umbrella, a first aid kit, a small travel purse where you can keep handy cash and travel document and of course, sunscreen. If you are heading North then you want to pack a sweater or coat as the evenings can get chilly.

3. Are the authorities strict about public smoking and littering?

When it comes to public smoking and littering, the authorities of Thailand are less strict and any laws are rarely enforced, especially given the rarity of public waste bins, however the approbation of the local people makes for embarrassing scenes if you are caught dropping plastic and waste. “No Smoking” signage is common and generally respected.

4. While I am in Bangkok, where should I go for shopping?

Thailand is definitely famous for its shopping districts and while you are in the capital city of Bangkok, there are several shopping districts where you can visit. Some of them are Central Chidlom, Central World Plaza and Siam Paragon for high end fashions and luxury goods, MBK and Pratunam for technology and budget clothing respectively.

We have covered some of the major concerns that most of the travelers have during the first of the many Thailand tours? So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and hop on the first flight to Thailand.
